 1. Things You should Know |
---------------------------

Money is needed all the time in Runescape. To make money you need to have
patience. Patience is the key to money making. If you wait long enough, money
will come to you. Do not expect to earn 300k at your first try of mining when
you're at level 10. Persistence is also another one. Don't give up. If you work
hard enough, you will become really rich in no time. Finally, don't cheat or
scam. You will probably be reported and you really haven't earnt the money.
You have only stolen it.

Information on Members will not be mentioned unless it is necessary
(eg. Woodcutting, Prayer) and of course, members only skills
will be mentioned. Members things are indicated with *(Location)* or a box.
In later versions members will be mentioned more often in
free to play. Sorry about the inconvenience.

IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOU IN RUNESCAPE, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2. Leveling up the Skills |
---------------------------

Leveling up the skills in runescape is vital if you want to be a good player.
If you want to see the level requirements either click on the icon you want to
see the requirements (eg. click on the mining icon on the stats section to see
the requirements) or you could use this guide. However I do not have all the
requirements in this guide. I will make a requirements table in the future.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2a. Mining |
------------

Mining is one of the simplest ways of making money. It is really easy to
level up as well.

Things you will need:

-Pickaxe (Try to use the best you can eg.mith, addy)
-Armour (unless you are strong enough or there are no monsters around)
-Dwarven Stout (Found in Falador Pub)

First you will need to find a place to start. I suggest South-east and West
Varrock if you wish to bank your ores or Barbarian Village. Mine utill you
are level 15 (You can now mine iron). I suggest you bank your ores now
because iron sells pretty good. Keep going till your level 30. You can now
either mine iron still or start mining coal. At level 30 you probably
will be beaten by higher level miners. From level 30 to 40, you won't be
seeing much cash coming in. Once level 41, try to upgrade your pickaxe
to Rune. If you can, mine as much iron as possible. At level 55,
Congratualtions, you can mine mithril. Dwarven Mines is a good place because
you can mine iron and 2 mith rocks are next to you. When they respawn, mine
the mithril then continue mining iron. Repeat the process and you will start
getting money flowing in. When you get to level 59 you can access the mining
guild. How? Drink a Dwarven Stout. This is where you start to mine coal like
MAD.

Unfortunately I haven't mined adamantite or runite yet so I can't give you
much information except congratulations and sell it (Unless you have 70
smithing).

***BEST LOCATIONS TO MINE***

Varrock South-east and west mines

These mines are very close to the bank however, they are usally crowded so
try to find a time of day when there are not as much people. They are good
for low level miners

Barbarian Village

The Coal rocks are basically pack with at least 2 people to a rock. If
there is no one, your in luck. The tin rocks are almost never used but if
there is 1 person there, you should be able to still mine the tin at a
pretty fast rate. Edgeville bank is the closest bank.

Dwarven Mines

By far the best place to level up. It has nearly all the types of rocks
here! This place is best for mining iron and mithril if you are level 58 or
under. The bottom of the mine is scorpion infested so be careful. The bank is
quite close.

Mining Guild

The best place to earn money. If it isn't packed, a full inventory (28 spaces)
of coal will take approximately 6 and a half minutes to mine, store in in the
bank and come back (With a rune pikeaxe).

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2b. Smithing |
--------------

Money making with smithing requires much more work than mining. Low level
smithing may take a long time but at high levels, you could make 200k in 5
minutes. Bars are also good to sell.

Things you will need:

-Hammer
-Bars (bronze, iron, mithril etc.)
-Dwarven Stout (Found in Falador Pub)

First you will need ores. Mine or buy about 150-250 tin and copper ore.
Smelt it and make whatever you wantn(Bronze is not good to sell to other
people so sell to shops). You should be at level 17-21 now. Now mine some iron
or buy it. Smelt them until you get 250-300 iron bars. Again, make whatever
you want but try to make long sword and full helmets. You should now be at
level 30-32. You can now stick with iron or go to steel. Steel will take
longer to get, if you buy it now you'll be very poor. Either way, once you're
level 38 smithing you can now look forward to making money. Make swords (not
long swords) and square shields. Sell them. At Level 46 make legs and sell
them. Once you're level 48 make plate bodies. To the shops, steel plate body
will sell at 1k-1.2k. Once at Level 50 smithing, your in the high level
smithing area. Mithril bars are hard to sell but weapons such as battle-axes
and 2-handed swords will sell good. Kite shields and full mithril are really
good. It will take you a while to get your smithing level from 40 to 50 and
it will take nearly forever to get to 70. To get some extra exp, I suggest
doing the Knight's Sword Quest. Level 70+ the best things to sell are
2-handed swords, battle-axes and armour. Nearly all the rune items can be sold
at a good price.

For more information on smithing, go to the level requirements section.

****BEST LOCATIONS FOR SMITHING***

Falador

Overall good, has a bank and furnace. If you've done the Doric's Amulet Quest,
you can use the anvils north of Falador.

Varrock

The place to smith your bars. The bank is near and there are lots of anvils
around the place. Best would be West Bank because the anvil is across the road.

Al-Kharid

Pretty good place to smelt. Scorpion Mine is North of Al-Kharid.

A quick way to smelt is to click on the furnace. A box will appear will all the
bars pictured. Right click on the one you are making and a box of options will
appear. You can choose, Make 1, Make 5, Make 10 or Make X (X means you choose
the number).

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2c. Fishing |
-------------

Fishing is another easy skill to level up and gives quick money. At high
levels, fishing won't give as much money as mining or smithing.

Things you will need:

-Net (For shrimps and anchovies)
-Fishing Rod (For sardine, herring and pike)
-Fly Fishing Rod (For trout and salmon)
-Harpoon (For tuna and sword fish)
-Lobster Pot (For Lobsters)
-Bait (For sardine, herring and pike)
-Feathers (For trout and salmon)

All of the above can be bought at the Port Sarim Fishing Store.

First of all do not sell shrimps, sardine, herring or anchovies. Store them
as use them as your own personal stash of food.

Fish shrimps till level 5. Next, fish sardines (don't forget bait)
at the fishing spot south of Draynor. At level 10 you can fish herring.
Fish at the same spot to fish sardine and sometimes you get herring.
At level 15 don't bother fishing anchovies, continue with sardine and herring.
Once you're at level 20 go to Barbarian Village with a Fly Fishing Rod
and feathers. Fish there and bank the trout at the Edgeville Bank. At level 25
you can either fish pike (using a fishing rod and bait) or continue with trout.
I suggest trout still because feathers are easier to get (get them from
chickens). At level 30 fish trout and salmon. If you haven't cooked any of
your fish, you should now. Sell what you want. Once your at level 35 don't
fish tuna yet, instead continue fishing trout and salmon. Why? You would
catch much more trout and salmon. Tuna takes longer and doesn't give much more
exp. At level 40 fish lobsters at Karamja. Slowly get to level 50 by fishing
anyway you wish. At level 50 you can fish sword fish.

The best thing to sell is lobsters. Everyone wants them. Trout, pike, Salmon
and Tuna are good as well. Don't sell your sword fish unless people offer
the above price. Probably the best place to sell fish is the wilderness edge.
Pkers need food to survive. Another place would be dungeons that are far from
banks. People training on enemies need food as well. Varrock Sewers are a good
example.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO FISH***

South of Draynor

Best place to start off. Near bank has all the low level fishing spots.

Barbarian Village

The place to fish trout, pike and salmon. North-west of the fishing spot is
the Barbarian Pub which have two fires that never go out.

Karamja

The only place to get lobsters, tuna and sword fish. Fish a whole inventory and
go back to a bank. Repeat.

If you have a lot of law runes and can teleport to Falador, do so. It saves
a lot of time.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2d. Cooking|
------------

Cooking is needed to earn money in fishing. Fish aren't the only things.
Pizza, Cake and bread or some of the many things you can cook. Cooking is
also an easy skill to level up.

Things you will need:

-A range
-A fire (only for meat and fish)

I will be releasing information on equipment and ingredients you need in a
later version.

NOTE: I won't be going into as much detail as the above sections.

If you have been fishing and cooking at the same time you would probably be
around level 50 cooking already. If not, cook fish. It's the easiest way to
level up your cooking.

I don't know much about cake, pizza and pie. The best to sell however would be
pizza and chocolate cake.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO COOK***

Cooking Guild

You get some of the ingredients here. EVerything is in one place.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2e. Woodcutting|
----------------

Woodcutting is needed to be able to fletch. The logs are quick money and
it doesn't take long to learn how to cut trees down.

Things you will need:

-Hatchet (the best you can get)

At first, the only thing you can cut is normal trees. Keep cutting them utill
you get to level 15 woodcutting. Now you can cut Oak trees. Find a batch of
Oak trees and cut them down. When one is cut down, go to the next, by the
time you cut down all of them, the first one will have respawned. The best
place would be the forest in between Falador and Draynor. At level 30 you can
cut Willow. You can either continue with Oak or go to Willow. South of
Draynor Bank is a bunch of Willows. This is a good place to cut and store your
Willow logs.

**MEMBERS ONLY**
___________________________________________________________________________
When you get to level 45 you can cut Maple. The best place would be Seers
Village. At these levels, choose to cut down either Oak or Willow. Maple is
not recommended unless your fletching or selling
___________________________________________________________________________

Once you're level 60 you can cut Yew logs. They are all around the place so
look for a place near a bank and cut'em down!

**MEMBERS ONLY**
___________________________________________________________________________
Level 75 means you can cut Magic Trees. These look like normal trees only
they have little white things in them (I think). They can be found around
the Sorcerers's Tower and Ranging Guild.
___________________________________________________________________________

***BEST LOCATIONS FOR WOODCUTTING***

Everywhere is pretty good but there are a few good places:

Draynor Village

Just under the bank is some Willows. This is a good place to train and
bank your Willows.

Forest south of Falador

A few Oaks there and 2 Yew Trees.

*Seers Village*

THis has nearly all the different kinds of trees here. Good place for
cutting Maple trees. Quite al lot of rare trees.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2f. Prayer|
-----------

Prayer is a more of an assistance for Combat, Range and Magic. The bones
are quite expensive, making them good to sell.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Bones (any kind)
-Food (if you're training and getting bones at the same time)

Prayer is a skill that doesn't have a level requirement to bury bones.
If you are a low combat level person, I suggest you go to a chicken pen and
kill chickens. For Big Bones, kill either Hill Giants (lvl 28) in Edgeville
Dungeon or Moss Giants (lvl 42) in Varrock Sewers. Both have people traning
there.

**MEMBERS ONLY**
__________________________________________________________________________
You could kill dragons and baby blue dragons to get their bones.
Go for the weakest kind of dragon so you don't get hurt as much and don't
waste as much food.
__________________________________________________________________________

***BEST LOCATIONS TO BURY BONES***

Chicken Pen

EASY to kill chickens and quick to get bones.

Edgeville Dungeon

Easiest way to get Big Bones however it is crowded most of the day.

Wilderness lvl 21-22 (I think)

Green Dragons are the easiest kind of dragon to kill. It's in the wild so
be careful.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2g. Runecrafting|
-----------------

Runecrafting is another way of getting runes. At high levels and if
you are a member, you will make a lot of money.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Pickaxe (to mine essences)
-Rune essences
-Talisman (the same kind as the rune you want to craft)

You will first need to do the Rune Mysteries Quest in order to craft runes.
Once you've done that start mining essences or buy them. They are EXTREMELY
easy to mine. Mines are found in Varrock, Wizard Tower and *Magic Guild*.
To to a guy and he will say a special phrase and teleport you to a mine.
Once you've done that get the Air talisman you received earlier
and some rune essences (27 is the max you can carry). Go to the Altar in
between Falador and the Crafting Guild. It's a big rock. Use the talisman
with the altar and you will be in another place. Go to the altar and just
click on it. You will have created some Air runes. After doing this for
a while you can make Mind (level 2 runecrafting) , Water (lvl 5),
Earth (lvl 9), Fire (lvl 14) and Body runes (lvl 20). Just do the same thing
as you did when making Air runes. The only difference is you need the same
kind of talisman as the rune you're making and the altar location.

A way to find the altars is to right-click on the talisman and select
locate-talisman. It will tell you which direction to go.

**MEMBERS ONLY**
____________________________________________________________________________
AT level 27 you can make Cosmic runes. I think the altar is in the Lost City.
At level 35 you can make Chaos runes. The altar is in level 9 wilderness.

More information on members and talisman locations in the level requirements
section.
____________________________________________________________________________

***BEST LOCATIONS TO MINE ESSENCES***

Varrock

Near a bank and one of the only place to teleport to the mine.

*Magic Guild*

If you have the magic level, this is the BEST place to mine essences. Near a
bank.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2h. Crafting|
-------------

Crafting needs quite a lot of work in order to earn some money.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Chisel (cutting gems)
-Pickaxe (for mine clay, silver and gold)
-Bucket (wetting the clay)
-Shears (for getting wool from sheep)
-Needle and thread (for leather work)
-Moulds (holy symbol, amulet etc.)

From level 1-40 you can either make pots and bowls using clay, get cow
hide, tan them (Al-Kharid) or make Holy Symbols (Need level 16 crafting).
For now go with clay. Mine some clay and go to a fountain/sink. Best place to
do this is South-West Varrock mine and the Cooking Guild. Fill the
bucket up and use it with one piece of clay. Repeat this till all the
clay is wet. Next go to Pottery Oven in Barbarian Village. First go to
the pottery wheel and make the best thing you can. Next put it into the oven.
It may brake but you still receive some exp. Do this till you get to around
level 14-18. Now go to the cow field in Lumbridge and kill cow to get their
hides. When you have a full inventory, go to Al-Kharid and tan it. Deposit in
bank and repeat. After you have about 100-200 get a needle and some thread.
Use the needle with the leather and make the best thing you can. Do this
till you get to level 28. You can now make hard leather bodies so instead of
tanning the cow hide into normal leather, tan it to hard leather. Make hard
leather bodies till you get to level 40. It will take a while trust me.
When you're at level 40 you can get into the crafting guild. This is when
you get your pickaxe and mine gold and silver. From now on make Holy Symbols.
How? Mine some Silver, get a holy symbol mould and smelt the silver into bars.
Use the bar with the furnace again and make what you wnat. Unholy symbols are
for members only.

Of course there is jewellery. You need gems and a chisel. Cut the gem
(you must be at a certain level to cut the gem) and get some gold bars.
To make a ring you need a ring mould, for an amulet a amulet mould etc.
Use the gold bar with the furnace and choose what you want ot make.
Amulets can be enchanted and will need a ball wool to be able to wear it.
Use the ball of wool with the unfinished amulet to complete it.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO CRAFT***

Lumbridge

has a cow field and Al-Kharid is nearby

Barbarian Village

The only pottery oven for low level crafters (40 crating and under).
Clay is near by

Crafting Guild

The best place to get silver and gold. Also has a pottery oven.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2i. Theiving|
-------------

Theiving is a skill that gives you money as a reward. You won't make lots of
money but some of the rewards may be food and rare runes.

NOTE: I will only talk about the NPC you can steal from (man, paladin, knight).
      Sorry about the inconvience

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Food (heal your hitpoints)

Theiving is pretty basic. At first, you can only steal from men. Select
pickpocket man. You will pickpocket him. Sometimes he will catch you.
You will be stunned for about 4 seconds and hit a certain amount of damage.
The higher level the enemy is, the more damage you will recieve. Keep
pickpocketing him till you get to level 10. Now you can pickpocket farmers.
They give nearly double the amount of exp the man gives so I recommend it.
There is a big jump from farmers to warriors. You need level 25 theiving to
pickpocket them. At level 32 you can steal from rogues which are in the
wild (level 54 wilderness to be exact). Level 40 means guards so go steal from
them next. A big jump from guards to knights. You need level 55 theiving
(It may take a long time) to steal from them. If you can steal from anything
higher congratulations. You need 80 theiving to steal from Heroes.
They give out death runes, blood runes and diamonds (cut).

***BEST LOCATIONS TO THEIVE***

Lumbridge

Has farmers and men. They give you quick exp at high levels and you get
caught less often.

Ardougne

Has Warriors, Knights, Paladins and Heroes. Good place for low, medium and
high level theivers.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2j. Fletching|
--------------

Fletching is another way of getting bows and arrows and is related to
range/archery. The arrows are a way of making quick money. You can also low or
high alch your bows for cash.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Knife (cutting logs)
-Feathers (amking arrows)
-Logs
-Flax (bowstring)
-Arrowsheads (bronze, iron, mithril etc.)

At first you can only make bronze arrows. You can either make lots of
arrows or make lots of bows. If you make arrows you will need lots of
feathers and arrowheads. Bows can be made and dropped on the spot. If you
have the money and time, get lots of feathers and arrowheads. To make arrows
go to a large forest of normal trees. Cut down the trees till you have a full
inventory. Use your knife with the logs and get arrowshafts. Next use the
feathers with the arrowshafts. Fianlly use the arrowheads with the headless
arrows. You have made your first batch of arrows. To make bows, cut
down the type of tree you want the bow to be. So if you want a maple bow,
cut down a maple tree. To make a normal short bow, you need level 5 fletching.
Cut down the tree and get some logs. Use the knife with logs and select what
type of bow you want to make. If you want you can drop the bows here.
You still get half the exp and it saves you time (unless you have the bow
strings already). Get some flax which is found in Seers Village. Go to a
spinning wheel and spin the flax into a bow string (you need level 10 crafting
to spin it). Use the bow string with the unfinished bow to complete it.

Here are the level requirements:

Arrow shafts- level 1
Headless arrows- level 1
Bronze arrows- level 1
Iron arrows- level 15
Steel arrows- level 30
Mithril arrows- level 45
Adamantite arrows- level 60
Runite arrows- level 75

Normal bows- short- level 5 long- level 10
Oak bows- short- level 20 long- level 25
Willow bows- short- level 35 long- level 40
Maple bows- short- level 50 long- level 55
Yew bows- short- level 65 long- level 70
Magic bows- short- level 80 long- level 85

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2k. Herblore|
-------------

Herblore is the skill for making potions. You can get quite a lot of
money from selling certain potions such as strength pot and prayer potions.
It is one of the most hardest skills to get up so it may take a while to
even get to level 30.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Vial
-Herb
-Second Ingredient
-Pestle and Mortar (for grinding up certain things)

You need to have done the Druidic Ritual Quest to be able to start herblore.
To make a potion you need a vial. Fill it up with water and add the
identified herb into the vial. Then add the secondary ingredient (it may need
to be grounded first). The best potions to make are Stats Restore Potions,
Anti-potion potions and strength poions.

Table of herbs and level requirements in the level requirements section.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO TRAIN HERBLORE***

Taverly

The best place because druids are above town and there is a herblore store.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2l. Combat Stats|
-----------------

Fighting enemies is a way of getting items. Some are rare, some are common and
some are just junk. Warriors are strong against rangers but weak against
mages.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-A weapon (the best you can get)
-Armour (best you can get)
-Food (restore your health)

You'd be crazy not to use weapons and armour when facing a lesser demon. Use
your common use.

You can train on anything but try to train go the things that are closest
to your level. You wouldn't kill a Moss Giant if you're level 20 combat.
Here is a table for what to train on. You don't have to follow it, but use it
as a guideline. In drops, I will write down only the ones that are good.
(In my opinion)

Combat Level Enemy/ies Drops
------------ --------- ------------------------------

3-10 Cows Meat, Bones
                  Goblins Coins

11-20 Goblins Coins
                 Barbarians Coins,Weapons

21-30 Guards Coins, runes

31-40 Hill Giant Big Bones, Weapons, Armour

41-65 Red Deadly Spiders None
Moss Giants Big Bones, Weapons, Armour
               White Knights Weapons, Armour

66-80 Lesser Demons Rune Medium Helmet
               Chaos Dwarves Mithril Square

81+ Lesser Demons Rune Medium Helmet
              Greater Demons Rune Full Helmet

***BEST DROPS FROM MONSTERS***

Lesser Demons

If you're above level 45 and have pretty good armour, you should be able to
handle them (a few). They drop rune medium helmets (10k-16k)

Greater Demons

You should be over level 70 (just to be safe) if you're going to fight these
guys. They're in the wild so be careful not to be pked. They drop Rune full
Helmets (30k-40k).

 2m. Magic|
----------

Magic is another way of fighting enemies. Magic is one of the most expensive
skills to get up and one of the hardest. Mages are strong against warriors
but weak against rangers.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Runes (a lot)
-Staff (your choice)
-Mage robes
-Food

First start off training with Air Strike. You will need lots of Mind runes
500 to start off is pretty good. Don't bother using Water Strike or
Earth Strike. Once you're level 13 use fire strike. Get a fire staff and
get 1000 mind runes and 2000 air runes. Use Fire strike for training because
it is cheaper than Bolt spells. Once you're level 35 either continue using
Fire Strike or go to Fire Bolt. Fire Bolt is much more expensive but it is
quicker to level up. Use fire Bolt for the rest of you're magic leveling up.
Blast spells should only be used for pking or if you're really really rich
and can buy tonnes.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO TRAIN YOUR MAGIC***

Dark Wizards and Wizard Tower

If you're wearng the right armour, you won't get hurt. They are easy to kill
and drop runes. This means you buy less runes. The most common they seem to
drop are Earth runes, Water, Law and Nature.

Pubs/bars

They have tables you can use magic over so you can't get hurt by the NPC.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2n. Range/Archery|
------------------

Range/archery is also another way of fighting enemies. Rangers are strong
against magers but weak against warriors.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Bow
-Arrows
-Range Armour (it gives you a range bonus)
-Food

Firstly you will need to find a good place to train. You should train on
things that are near the same level as your range level. Sometimes an arrow
is not recoverable because it has been damaged. The higher the type of
metal, the less chance of this happening. Free players can use up to Oak
bows and Steel arrows.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO RANGE***

Chicken farms

Found all around runescape, they are good to start off because they basically
never hit you.

Pubs/bars

They usually have some kind of man (thief, farmer) in the bar and have
tables which you can range over without getting hurt.

*Combat Training area north of Ardougne*

This has level 63 ogres which can only be attacked by ranging and mages.
This is a good place to pick up arrows as high level rangers don't bother
picking theirs up.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2o. Firemaking|
---------------

Firemaking is one of the more useless skills. You'll probably only need it
if the only trees around are ones that require firemaking levels and you
need to cook food desperately.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Tinderbox
-Logs

This will be a very short section.

Just make lots of fires using normal logs. Once you're level 15, burn Oak logs
and repeat that until you're level 30. Light whatever you want from now on.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO TRAIN FIREMAKING***

Draynor-Lumbridge Forest

This has lots of trees to cut down and burn.

Draynor Village

The willows are pretty good for getting experience.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2p. Slayer|
-----------

Slayer is the latest skill that was released in the late January 2005 area.
I haven't really trained this skill so I don't know much.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Food
-Weapons and armour
-Special item for killing slayer monsters

First you need to find a slayer master. I know of 4 slayer masters.
One is in Shilo Village, Edgeville Dungeon, Burthorpe and Morytania.
Each slayer master gives you an assignment to do. You have to kill a certain
amount of monsters. By killing them you get slayer exp. Each slayer master
have different difficulty levels. Some monsters require special items to be
killed. The slayer master will give you the item at a price. More information
coming soon.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO SLAY***

Slayer Dungeon

Has lots of slayer creatures.

Slayer Castle

Good for high level slayers.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 2q. Agility|
------------

Agility is a members skill and is useful for getting to different places.
The higher your level, the faster you gain your energy back.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:

-Food (if you get injured)

Train at the gnome course. If you go in the correct order of things, you get
bonus exp. The order is logs, net, tree branch, tight rope, tree branch, net
and pipes. Do this until you're level 35. You can go to the barbarian course or
continue training here. I suggest training here to get a few more levels up so
you won't fail as much. Try to level up so you can use the Wilderness course
because it gives much more exp.

***BEST LOCATIONS TO TRAIN AGILITY***

Gnome course

The only course you can use at the start of agility.

Wilderness Course

If you complete it, you get quite a bit of exp. It's in the wild though so be
careful.

 3. Summary of leveling up |
---------------------------

This section show what is the best way to level up quickly.
You don't have to follow it and it might not be the best way in YOUR opinion.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3a. Mining |
------------

Level 1-14

The only things you can mine is Clay, Copper and Tin ore. At this level
don't bother going to the bank unless you're also starting smithing. Just
drop them.

Level 15-29

Mine iron and upgrade your pickaxe to mithril at level 21. Bank the iron
because you can sell it at an okay price.

Level 30-40

Either mine iron for exp or coal for money. Coal is not recommended because
it takes so long at this level.

Level 41-59

Buy a rune pick as soon as possible. Mine iron and bank it if you're smithing
or drop for exp. You'll need to mine a few thousand iron so get ready for the
start of 'long' leveling up.

Level 60-69

Mine coal because you can go in the guild now. There is always coal to mine in
this mine. Don't mine the mith unless you're smithing.

Level 70-84

Best option is mine coal. Or mine mith and addy for money.

Level 85-99

Mine whatever you want. By now you should know what is good and what is bad to
mine.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3b. Smithing |
--------------

Level 1-19

Make bronze bars and make whatever you want out of them. You get such a low
return it doesn't matter what you sell. You will need 240 tin and copper.

Level 20-33

Make iron bars and make swords, full helms, legs and plate body. You will
now be making some money. You will need about 800 iron ores or to be more
accurate, 370 iron bars. Iron has a 50% chance of failing so half of 800 is
400.

Level 34-50

Make steel square shields, swords, legs and plate body. You will need about
1500 iron ores and 3000 coal. I know it's a lot but what else can you do?

Level 51-98

Unless your very rich stick with steel. It uses up less coal and mithril
doesn't give much more. Best things would be legs, plate body or full <insert
metal>.

Level 99

when you're level 98 smithing it will take 9831 rune bars to level you up.
If you can't wait just drink a dwarven stout.

You can also do the Knight's sword quest. It gives 12,000 exp for th reward!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3c. Fishing |
-------------

Level 1-19

Fish Shrimps and Anchovies. Drop them or cook them. No worth banking.

Level 20-45

Fish Trout and Salmon, cook them and bank. Use them as food or sell them for
$$$.

Level 46-55

Fish Lobsters. It isn't recommended at level 40 because you won't catch as
much. Cook them and bank. Or you could save time and sell them to the General
Store for very little money.

Level 56-99

You should know what's best by now so pick that one and stick to it.
Fishing Lobsters are the best way. Swordfish take longer to fish and don't
give that much more exp.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3d. Cooking|
------------

Level 1-99

Cook fish. It's easy because you don't need lots of ingredients. Only a fish
and fire. Best thing to do would be don't cook the fish until you're 5
levels above the requirement so you won't burn them as much. For example,
you need 30 cooking to cook tuna. Wait till level 35 cooking to cook it.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3e. Woodcutting|
----------------

Level 1-14

Cut normal trees and burn the logs along the way

Level 15-29

Cut Oaks and burn the logs along the way.

Level 30-59

Cut Willows and sell the logs if you want or burn them.

Level 60-99

don't bother cutting yew, it takes too long. Cut willow and it will take much
quicker.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3f. Prayer|
-----------

Level 1-99

Best thing to do would be bury big bones and buy them. If you've got good
fishing or mining, you could use the profit to buy bones.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3g. Runecrafting|
-----------------

Level 1-99

There is no best way. Pick an altar near a bank and craft there. The altars
that give more exp are harder to get. So if I went to the *chaos altar*,
I could go to the air altar 3 times before going to the chaos altar.
That means more exp.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3h. Crafting|
-------------

Level 1-39

Grab lots of cow hides and tan them. Make the best leather item you can
so you get the most exp. At level 28 tan the cow hide to hard leather and
make hard leather bodies.

Level 40-99

Make holy symbols by mining silver and smelting it. Use the bar with
the furnace again to make a holy symbol. Nothing else is faster (I think).

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3i. Theiving|
-------------

Level 1-15

Men and Women.

Level 16-29

Farmers.

Level 30-45

Warriors

Level 46-60

Guards

Level 60-99

Knights

Be a few levels ahead before stealing from a certain guy so you won't
be caught as often.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3j. Fletching|
--------------

Level 1-14

Make lots of arrow shafts. Get lots of feathers and use the feathers and
arrowshafts together. If you can buy or smith bronze arrow heads.

Level 15-29

Do the same as above. If you can, make iron arrows. Otherwise, make bows
and just drop them.

Level 30-44

Same thing. Only you make steel arrows. Or make Willow bows.

Level 45-64

Make lots of Willow bows or steel arrows.

Level 65-99

Yew bows are pretty good to make. They sell good. The logs are a bit
hard to get however.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3k. Herblore|
-------------

In herblore, you should get all the herbs identified, vials filled with
water and second ingredients together first.

Level 3-11

Attack Potions

Level 12-21

Strength Potions

Level 22-29

Stats Restore Potions

Level 30-??

Defence Potions if you're willing to go to the red dragons, Stats Restore if
not.

E-mail me if you can because I don't have high herblore and I don't know
how some herbs are obtained. Help me Out!

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3l. Combat Stats|
-----------------

Make sure you upgrade your weapon and armour metal as soon as possible.
Don't get full mith when you're on level 30 defence. Get addy instead.

Level 1-99

Find an enemy that has lots of hits and attacks slowly and weakly.
Make sure you're 3-5 levels higher than it before fighting them.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3m. Magic|
----------

Level 1-12

Use air strike don't bother using water or earth strike

Level 13-35

Use fire strike. Use a staff of fire and bring a LOT of air and mind runes.

Level 35-99

If you're rich, use chaos and death runes. If not stick with mind runes.
Chaos for people who earn 50k-100k an hour, Death for people who earn
200k an hour.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3n. Range/Archery|
------------------

Level 1-4

Just use a short bow and bronze arrows

Level 5-99

Use Oak short bow and steel arrows

*Level 20-29*

Get a Willow bow and use steel arrows

*Level 30-39*

Maple bow and steel arrows

*Level 40-49*

Yew bow and steel arrows

*Level 50-99*

Magic bow and steel arrows

If you like you could use mith, addy and rune arrows. It's more expensive
and should only be used for pking. Go ahead if you want.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3o. Firemaking|
---------------

Level 1-14

Burn normal logs

Level 15-29

Burn Oak logs

Level 30-99

Burn Willows. It's quicker. By the time you burn a yew log, you could of burnt
5 willows.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3p. Slayer|
-----------

This section shouldn't be here because of combat levels.
Just follow what your Slayer Master says. Just don't kill monster that do lots
of damage to you.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 3q. Agility|
------------

Level 1-40

Gnome Course

Level 41-55

Barbarian Course. To be safe be at level 40 so you won't fail as much.

Level 56-99

wilderness COurse. Dangerous but much more exp.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
 4. Level Requirements|
----------------------

This section is on level requirements. It tells you what are the level
requirements of each skill. It may not be 100% right so please correct
me if I'm wrong. I will not include every detail to save time. There
will also be descriptions on some things in here.

This is going to be so #%^@#@&@^$##%@*% (I don't even know if it's a word).
So think how considerate I am. Numbers in brackets mean how many bars needed.

Well, that wasn't that bad. Just sell the bronze to the stores. Same goes
for Iron and Steel. Try and sell it to the specialty store to get more money.
Once you get to Mithril, sell most of it to the store. Keep the legs, 2h,
plate legs and body. Sell them to people for much more cash. Same goes for
addy. Once you're making rune, you're pretty good now. Don't sell anything
to the stores. You will get lots more if you sell them to people.

 5. Final Tips|
--------------

-Once you've gotten one skill up high and making lots of money out of it,
use the money to train other skills. Eg. You have high level mining,
use the money you earnt to train your magic by buying the runes.

-If you're training your smithing, NEVER buy your bars. Bars usually cost
more than the ores needed and you lose some exp. Unless you have lots of
money and can't be stuffed wasting time.

-Make a profit, sell your items at higher prices then buy it back at a
 cheaper price.

-High level players usually are willing to buy the whole lot.
Eg. You have 2000 coal, a high level person (lvl 100) would buy it in one go.
Lower level people will probably ask for, "400 please".

-Get the items yourself if they are close to a bank and are quick to get.
 Eg. Feathers, logs.

-The best skills to make money (in my opinion) are mining, smithing and
runecrafting. At high levels you can make lots of money.

-The prices I mention are guidelines, don't sell anything over the maximum
I say (You don't have to). If you do you'll get very few buyers.

-When training your strength, attack or defense, use a fast hitting weapon
such as scimitar or long sword. You may be able to hit high numbers with a
2 handed, but it takes such a long time you could lose more health and
the battles would go on for longer.

-Things that give more exp aren't always the best. Would you mine 10 addy ore
which takes a while or 20 coal?
